Three report types. One standard of excellence.

Every veteran's situation is unique. We tailor our approach to match their claim.

Aid & Attendance

A rehabilitation assessment documenting the veteran's need for regular assistance with activities of daily living due to their service-connected disabilities. We interview caregivers and analyze the functional impact on independence.

TDIU + Aid & Attendance

For veterans pursuing both claims, we provide a unified assessment that addresses unemployability and caregiver needs in a single, cohesive report. Streamlined for your workflow and the adjudicator's review.

Not All Vocational Opinions Are Created Equal.

Generic reports get dismissed. Ours get cited in favorable decisions.

Generic Opinion

"Standard" Vocational Assessment

The veteran has physical limitations that would impact his ability to work. Based on his conditions, he would have difficulty with prolonged standing and walking. His mental health symptoms would also affect concentration. In my opinion, the veteran would have difficulty maintaining substantial gainful employment.

The veteran's documented grip strength of 12 lbs bilateral (normal: 80-120 lbs) precludes even sedentary work requiring...

ATTORNEY BRIEF

Re: Mr. Eddie Jackson | File No. 28400608

VOCATIONAL ARGUMENT FOR TDIU

Based on the comprehensive vocational assessment conducted by Summit Vocational Consulting, the evidence establishes that the veteran, Mr. Eddie Jackson, has been unable to secure and follow substantially gainful employment since at least 2006.

The vocational expert's opinion, supported by extensive medical documentation, demonstrates that Mr. Jackson's service-connected PTSD, diabetes, peripheral neuropathies, tinnitus, tinea pedis, and bilateral hearing loss—considered in combination—render him unable to meet the basic requirements of competitive employment, including:

  • Sustaining concentration for two consecutive hours
  • Maintaining appropriate workplace interactions
  • Meeting attendance and productivity standards
  • Performing even sedentary work tasks reliably

See Vocational Assessment Report, pp. 11-15; 38 C.F.R. § 4.16(a)

COUNTER-ARGUMENT SHEET

Re: Mr. Eddie Jackson | File No. 28400608

VA Objection: "The veteran was employed until 2001, suggesting he can work."

Response: The veteran's last employment ended in February 2001—over 22 years ago. Since that time, his service-connected conditions have significantly worsened, as documented in the 12/10/19 PTSD DBQ showing "occupational and social impairment with deficiencies in most areas." His brief employment history actually supports unemployability, as he was unable to maintain any position despite multiple attempts.

VA Objection: "The veteran's conditions are not severe enough to preclude sedentary work."

Response: Per the 12/13/19 Peripheral Nerves DBQ, the veteran experiences "moderate paresthesias" and "moderate numbness" in bilateral upper extremities, directly impacting his ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. The DOL reports that 92% of all occupations require frequent bilateral hand use...

MEDICAL-VOCATIONAL CROSSWALK

Re: Mr. Eddie Jackson | File No. 28400608

Medical Evidence Functional Limitation Vocational Impact
PTSD DBQ 12/10/19: "near-continuous panic" Cannot sustain concentration for 2+ hours Precludes all competitive employment
Peripheral Nerves DBQ: "moderate numbness" BUE Limited fine motor dexterity Eliminates 92% of occupations (DOL)
Spouse Statement: "stand 10 min max" Cannot meet sedentary standing requirements Below DOT sedentary threshold

HEARING PREP SHEET

Re: Mr. Eddie Jackson | File No. 28400608

KEY POINTS FOR TESTIMONY

1

Unemployability Date: At least 2006

Supported by onset of diabetes and peripheral neuropathy symptoms, combined with pre-existing PTSD limitations.

2

Synergistic Effects: Combined conditions exceed individual impacts

Physical pain disrupts sleep → worsens PTSD → reduces concentration → increases pain sensitivity (documented cycle).

3

Sedentary Work Precluded: Cannot meet basic requirements

Standing limited to 10 min; concentration limited; upper extremity numbness affects 92% of jobs.
